Ghana, officially The Republic of Ghana has constitutional Democracy. The capital is Accra with approx. population of 4,4 m.


Before the Europeans arrived in search of gold, the west coast of Africa was part of an ancient trade route. In 1471, Portuguese traders came ashore and noticed that the local people wore gold jewelry. People from Portugal, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, and Britain came to the Gold Coast to search for gold. The British took control of the country in the 20th century and declared the Gold Coast a colony of the British Empire.


Ghana GDP is USD 3,500 per capita and last years economic growth was 6.8%. Ghana´s top export is gold and cocoa.

Ghana has for years had a relatively stable political environment with increasing growth rates thus it is an attractive investment country for Danish companies. Agriculture, food, service, health, construction, infrastructure, clean-tech, sewage and waste are important sectors of the Ghanaian economy.

Nordekon ApS invites Danish companies that operate in the segment of agriculture, food, service, health, construction, infrastructure and clean-tech to Ghana. The purpose of the business delegation is to identify local partners. Nordekon ApS will organise an individual programme for your company in accordance with your needs and it will include the following:

  • Seminar on business opportunities in Ghana.
  • Individual programme of visits to relevant companies. The programme is based on your company profile and requirements.

There will also be an opportunity to meet with various representatives from the Danish Embassy and relevant Ghanaian authorities.

This business delegation will be undertaken in close cooperation with The Danish Embassy in Accra.

Particpant fee: The price is DKK 9,500.00 each person (based on min. 10 traveling companies) incl. airfare and accomodation. Not included in the price is the participant’s own transport to meetings, transportation to/from airport, visas, insurance and meals.
